What’s new in Shopify

The Devices view in the POS channel now shows every device running Shopify POS, giving you a single source of truth for your entire fleet of tablets, phones, card readers and mobile POS devices.

Track which devices are online or offline, which POS app version is installed and more. This visibility helps you maintain consistency across your business and quickly identify devices that need attention.

When a device is lost, stolen, or needs to be removed from your system, you can take immediate action by logging it out remotely or removing its access entirely. Device removal requires staff permissions, which you can review and adjust under Settings > Users.

Note:For businesses with multiple locations we recommend you continue to use mobile device management (MDM) software to manage app versions.

To access the Devices view, open the POS channel in the Shopify admin and select Devices. Only devices running POS 11.9 or higher will appear in the list.
