What’s new in Shopify

We're continuing to improve Shopify Functions with new capabilities for discounts, shipping, and payments — areas where you've previously relied on Shopify Scripts — to ensure you can build custom logic that fits your unique business needs.

To help with your migration planning, we recommend using the Shopify Scripts customizations report to identify which of your current customizations can be replaced with Shopify Functions or public apps.

Here's what to expect leading up to the deprecation date:

• April 15, 2026 — Editing and publishing new Shopify Scripts will no longer be possible
• June 30, 2026 — All Shopify Scripts will stop executing entirely

We strongly encourage you to migrate as soon as possible.
