What’s new in Shopify

Previously, you could only count the cash in your register when opening or closing a session. Now, staff can perform a cash count at any point during an active shift. Simply tap the Register icon and select Count cash to verify the amount in your drawer whenever needed—whether you're doing a till check during a busy day, handing off to a new staff member mid-shift, or reconciling after a large cash deposit or removal. The count is automatically logged to your register session, helping you catch discrepancies early and maintain tighter control over your cash flow throughout the day.
