What’s new in Shopify

Searching for products in Shopify POS just got faster. Starting with POS v11.5, inline suggestions help retail staff complete searches with fewer keystrokes.

As you type in the product search field, the next word completes inline as ghost text drawn from your local catalog. Press Space or Tab to accept the suggestion and jump straight to the product, no need to finish typing the word.

Product search is one of the most frequent actions on the POS. For retailers with large catalogs, faster search means shorter queues, fewer abandoned lookups, and more time at the counter spent with customers instead of on the keyboard.
