CPSC eFiling fields now available to Managed Markets merchants
Effective July 8, 2026, U.S. importers of certain products are required by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to perform electronic filing (eFiling) via the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) during the entry process. Previously, records only needed to be available for goods upon request; now, certificate data must be transmitted for every regulated transaction at the border.
Merchants and their suppliers are responsible for completing the electronic filing with government agencies.
New feature:
CPSC eFiling fields that are now available in product disclosures, giving you a structured way to store product-level data needed to maintain compliance on certain U.S. imports. The new disclosure fields support the reference CPSC eFiling path. The inputs are shared with integrated fulfillment providers; they are not shown to buyers:
- Reference PGA Message Set fields for products with certificate data pre-loaded in the CPSC Product Registry, using Certifier ID, Product ID, and Version ID.
For merchants leveraging Managed Markets to sell into the US, Global-e will use these inputs for smoother, faster US Customs crossings. Merchants not using Managed Markets should consult CPSC resources and your broker, carrier, manufacturer, testing lab, or compliance advisor for best practices.
