What’s new in Shopify

Due to new legal requirements in Texas, Shopify Credit began collecting remittances through Shopify Payments for all financings repaying from sales with the "Pay over Time from Sales" repayment method, starting January 12, 2026.

For these financings, the repayment amount is automatically deducted from each day’s Shopify Payments payout before the payout is deposited into the merchant’s bank account.

Please note:
This change applies only to "Pay over Time from Sales" repayments. "Pay in Full" monthly repayments will continue to be collected through ACH direct debit.
